There are many ITSM solutions available today with the adoption of the cloud and the explosion of ticketing systems, but regardless of the technology you use, tracking customer issues, visualizing the trends, and forecasting future issues are universally important. Using the power of Microsoft Power BI, we will show how to create useful metrics from a static dataset that could come from any enterprise ITSM solution as well as a dataset pulled live from Microsoft Service Manager.

Seth has been immersed in information technology since he was 8, crashing and rebuilding his fathers business machines. At 16 he took his first IT job, and continued this path through college. After 9/11 and graduating he spent time as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army, where he attempted to stay away from computers but found that his skills and experience caused him to always gravitate back in that direction. After leaving the military he joined NetIQ as a technical support specialist, followed by Genesis Energy as their IT Manager. He then joined Cireson as their Services Delivery Manger, and continues to work with Cireson today as a Product Manager and Services Delivery Manager.
